Provenance: Late seventeenth- or early eighteenth-century inscription on title-page: Will Twysden. [Sir William Twysden, 5th baronet (after 1676-1751), of Roydon Hall, East Peckham, Kent, son of Sir Roger Twysden]. Ink ms. pressmark (?) in similar hand on flyleaf: 852 / Qq:3. Similar pressmarks found on other books with Twysden provenance. Bequeathed to the National Trust by Norman Norris (1917-1991). Inscribed on pastedown in Norris's hand: Colne Park 1940. 10/=. H. [i.e. Hodgson's] 18/1 40 Lot 351. Binding: Late seventeenth- or early eighteenth-century full mottled calf over boards; blind fillets; red leather spine label with title 'Account of Denmark'; sewn on five raised bands.
