Manuscript penmanship in pencil on leaf [alpha]1v: "Zen" and "Xenophō". Manuscript price (inked-over) and letter on title page: "1s-8d" and "C.". With manuscript marginal annotations on leaf [alpha]3r; these have been obscured with a blank slip pasted over them. Binding: seventeenth-century sprinkled calf; double blind fillet border; single blind fillet on board edges; recessed cords; double blind fillets running horizontally across spine; gilt author, title, and place and date of publication running vertically up spine. Red sprinkled edges.
