Binding: late seventeenth-century lightly sprinkled calf over boards with double blind fillet border and single vertical blind roll pattern near spine. Gilt pattern along board edges. Four raised bands; compartments framed with double blind lines; gilt title "LEX | PARLIA= | MEN= | TARIA" on light brown goatskin label. Two colour endbands. Four supports laced in; pastedown with conjugate endleaf and second endleaf with stub adhered beneath pastedown at both ends. Undyed edges. Signature B loose.
