Provenance: manuscript inscription: Tho: Hervey <trefoil> [i.e. Sir Thomas Hervey (1625-1694)]; manuscript inscription: Tho: & Isabella Hervey [i.e. Sir Thomas Hervey (1625-1694) and his wife Isabella (1625-1686)]; manuscript inscription: Willm Hervey [i.e. Sir William Hervey (1585 or 6-1660)]; With occassional pencil marks in margins, possibly in the hand of the First Earl of Bristol. Binding: Seventeenth-century brown calf binding with blind-tooled fillets; later gold lettering on spine.

Part of the Bristol Collection. The house and contents were acquired through the National Land Fund and transferred to the National Trust in 1956
