Summary
Bibliographic description
Vol. [10] ; 111 cm. Inserted loosely at front: (1)-(2) printed leaves 'Liste particulière des planches de grand format, autres que celles de l'atlas géographique. Première[-second] liste'; (3) printed leaf 'Liste des planches de la 3.e livraison (3.e section)'; (4) loose engraved plate; (5) printed form letter regarding the cost of binding the volumes, headed 'Commission d'Égypte', dated 'Paris, le ["10 Septembre" in MS.] 1826' and addressed in MS. "l'exemplaire de Lord Castlereagh chez M. le Mqs d'Ormond' [Castlereagh presumably refers to Robert Stewart, Viscount Castlereagh (1769-1822), who married Amelia Hobart, daughter of the 2nd Earl of Buckinghamshire, of Blickling Hall, thus possibly explaining the presence of this book in Blickling's library; or it possibly refers to Frederick Stewart (1805-1872), styled Viscount Castlereagh from 1822 to 1854, who when young was looked after by his uncle and aunt, Robert and Amelia; Ormond is presumably James Wandesford Butler, 1st Marquess of Ormond (1777-1838)]. Binding: full dark green pulled paste paper over pasteboards; gold-tooled red paper labels on spine with gilt title and part title.
