Alumni Cantabrigienses] and "John Grime his booke 1700". Manuscript bookseller's code on title page: "Li / d". Manuscript inscription on reverse of plate XXXVII and on lower endleaf: "John Grime his book 1700". Binding: seventeenth-century calf over boards with double blind fillet border and double blind fillet panel with blind cornerpiece stamps. Double blind fillet on board edges. Sewn onto 4 raised bands; blind fillet panels on spine, with gilt title lettered vertically 'Hooke Micrographia' on goatskin label. Red sprinkled edges.
