Binding: eighteenth-century full sprinkled calf (rubbed); sewn onto six sewing supports; double and single gilt fillet border; gilt floral roll pattern along board edges; six raised bands dividing the spine into seven panels; first and third-seventh panels are gold-tooled with small sun in splendor and floral stamps within fillet panels, with floral roll pattern at head and tail and along the raised bands; second panel has gilt title 'Maittaire Marmora Oxoniensia' on brown goatskin label. Red sprinkled textblock edges. Comb- and swirl-marbled endpapers.
