Provenance: manuscript initial on front fly-leaf: "M." [i.e. catalogue code of John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742)]. Binding: eighteenth-century full mottled calf (some delamination); sewn onto six cords; both hinges cracked; gold-tooled spine (cracked, remnants of unknown residue on some panels); red sprinkled textblock edges. Water damage on both boards.
