Main vol. of set is inscribed in Norris's hand: "Gorringes [?] Lewes 1/6 '60. Lot 142 Đ6. Coll. Perfect NESN. Plate of 3 portraits called for by Upcott at Vol. I p. 124 (but not mentioned in list of plates in work) is placed at p. 11 of Vol. II.". Binding: Nineteenth-century full diced Russia calf over boards; gilt fillet; gilt spine title: 'Throsby's Leicester Vol. 2'; sewn on five raised bands.
