Twentieth-century armorial bookplate: Pegge of Stoney Stanton, Leicestershire. (Not in Franks). Inscription on flyleaf: "George Pegge. Stanton. Highfield Rd. Northwood Middx - 1915. Whose ancestors lived at Stoney Stanton Leicestershire for several centuries". Bequeathed to the National Trust by Norman Norris (1917-1991). Inscribed on flyleaf in Norris's hand: "Gorringes [?] Lewes 1/6 '60. Lot 142 Đ6. Coll. Perfect NESN. Plate of 3 portraits called for by Upcott at Vol. I p. 124 (but not mentioned in list of plates in work) is placed at p. 11 of Vol. II.". Binding: Nineteenth-century full diced Russia calf over boards; gilt fillet; gilt spine title: 'Throsby's Leicester Vol. 1'; sewn on five raised bands.
