Binding: eighteenth-century French red morocco, triple fillet, upper cover with fleurs-de-lis in the corners and, in the centre, a cartouche of tools with a crowned oval bearing three fleurs-de-lis and framing the inscription 'Géographie/ de Monseigneur/ le Comte de Provence' with below, 'France par Gouvernements'. The cartouche features the Saint-Esprit. The royal arms on the lower cover are made up with separate tools and are surrounded by the chain of the Ordre du Saint-Esprit. Blue silk marker, green and gold headbands, gilt edges, curl-marbled endleaves. Binding probably dates from 1767, the date that the Comte became a knight of the Ordre du Saint-Esprit.
