Provenance: Numerous manuscript inscriptions on front fly-leaves, including that of former owners "Peter Norman Aprill ye 9th 1638", "Christopher Gray[?] est verus possessor hujus libri", and "John Mounsey". manuscript inscription on a1v: "This is the gift of my much esteemed cozn. Abraham Browne to me Benjamin Browne. Virgessimo[?] sermido[?] die Februarij. Anno Dom[in]i 1704" [i.e. Benjamin Browne (1664-1748)].. Binding: 17th century calf binding, with triple blind fillet border; blind chain roll decoration on either side of raised bands on spine. manuscript initials "GB" on front board. Stored in phase box, with two lengths of red braid.
