Lot 456. Đ1-5. [Lamer Park, Hertfordshire, home of the Cherry family]. With Norris's pencil note: "By I. Casaubon" [Isaac Casaubon (1559-1614)]. Loosely inserted: two slips with Norris's typed catalogue entry and added pencil notes on provenance, including note that "A George Buswell married Eliz. eldest dau. of Harold Kynnesman of Broughton Northants. Eliz. [Elizabeth Kynnesman] died 2 Jan. 1650", and "See note in Carters Honour Redivivus [i.e. NT98402, another volume in Norris collection] on Boswell family of Clipston, Northants.". Binding: Seventeenth-century full calf over boards; blind fillets to form a border; blind centrepiece stamp with initials "G. B." [i.e. George Buswell or Boswell]; blind spine tools; sewn on four raised bands; remains of cloth ties.
