Mitchell's note on verso of front endleaf: "Abr. Darcie. & B-(P.D.) [underlined]" [i.e. catalogue code and title note for anonymous works entered by Mitchell in his catalogue of Elly's library]. Seventeenth-century initials inscribed on mounted frontispiece leaves: [1] "CS::"; [2] "CKS". Seventeenth-century note at foot of p.[16]. Binding: Seventeenth-century(?) full sprinkled calf over boards with triple blind fillet frame; gilt rolled pattern on board edges; five raised bands, gilt tooled spine with gilt title "HISTORY OF QUEENE ELIZABETH" on leather label; pastedown and conjugate endleaf; red painted edges.
