[i.e. catalogue code of John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742)]. Manuscript inscription at head of front fly-leaf: "... [first word illegible] - Bibliotheca Numaria". Binding: eighteenth-century full sprinkled calf (three holes in leather through to pasteboard on upper cover); sewn onto five sewing supports, with five raised bands; stained stripe decoration on board edges and turn-ins; gold-tooled spine, with floral stamps; gilt title lettered directly onto spine. Red and brown sprinkled bookblock edges.
