[i.e. catalogue code of John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Ellys]. Binding: seventeenth-century full sprinkled calf over boards (abraded). Gilt roll pattern along board edges (worn). Five raised bands; gilt title and tooling directly on spine. Two colour endbands. Five supports laced in at an angle. Pastedown with conjugate endleaf at both ends; manuscript waste as guard beneath pastedown on lower board. Brown and red sprinkled edges.
