Provenance: Loosely inserted: nineteenth-century manuscript list of plates ([8]p.) and sheet of Norris's manuscript collation notes ([2]p.) Bequeathed to the National Trust by Norman Norris (1917-1991). Inscribed on v.1 flyleaf in Norris's hand: "Hodgson 17/11 '68. Lot 123. Đ52. Collated NN. Lacks a plate at p.532 Vol. III otherwise a perfect copy in rare uncut state." Pencil notes in another hand: "An absolutely perfect copy . and in front of vol. III. "Directions to the Binder," unrecorded. [illegible signature]. 1956.". Binding: Nineteenth-century full red morocco over boards; gilt fillets; spines gilt with title "History of Norfolk. Blomefield"; sewn on six raised bands.
