3v. . 8vo.. Imperfect: wanting general title page. Vol. 2 has a half-title and a title page.. Provenance: Armorial bookplate in each vol: John Hervey of Ickworth in Com. Suff. Esqr. 1698 [i.e. John Hervey, later 1st Earl of Bristol (1665-1751)].. Binding: Eighteenth-century sprinkled calf bindings; double gilt fillet border on boards; blind roll on board edges. Each vol. rebacked in gold-tooled calf, with green morocco title label, and gilt vol. no. and date stamped on spines. Red sprinkled edges.

Provenance

Part of the Bristol Collection. The house and contents were acquired through the National Land Fund and transferred to the National Trust in 1956
