Bequeathed to the National Trust by Norman Norris (1917-1991). Inscribed on pastedown in Norris's hand: Crowhurst Park 1941 12/3 '42 [Crowhurst Park, Battle, East Sussex, home of Papillon family].. Binding: Eighteenth-century full sprinkled calf over boards; gilt fillet; red spine label with title: 'Birch's Life of P. Henry'; sewn on five raised bands.
