Manuscript inscriptions on front pastedown: [1] former shelfmark "K.2.12."; [2] former shelfmark "34.F.20."; [3] "Co. M." ["M." underlined; i.e. catalogue code of John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Ellys]. Title page marked beneath coats of arms "S.(?)", defaced with black ink. Binding: seventeenth-century full sheepskin(?) over pasteboard with double blind fillet border and double blind line parallel to spine; single gilt line along board edges; recessed cords, smooth spine with double blind lines to form three compartments, paper label with manuscript title adhered to spine (delaminated); head and tail of spine worn; endbands lost; red sprinkled edges. Worm holes to lower section of leaves from pastedown to pastedown.
