Binding: eighteenth-century sprinkled and plain calf over boards, blind tooled to a Cambridge-style design; gilt pattern along board edges; 5 raised bands; gilt title on brown goatskin label, gilt volume number stamped directly on spine (label wanting on vol. 3 and gilt volume number supplied in second and third compartments); sewn on 3 supports, laced in; red speckled edges.
