Manuscript inscription on title page: "Wm Bishop: Coll: Trin" [probably William Bishop, son of George Bishop of Moore, Shropshire. Trinity College, Oxford, matric. 14 July, 1677, aged 16; B.A. 8 March, 1680-1; M.A. 19 Feb., 1683-4; possibly rector of Hayes, Middlesex -- cf. Alumni Oxonienses. No-one named William Bishop appears to have been at Trinity College, Cambridge]. Binding: seventeenth-century sprinkled calf; double blind fillet border, with four blind fillets parallel to spine; gilt roll pattern on board edges; remnants of gilt title on brown goatskin label on spine. Marbled edges.
