Summary
A historic system comprising of a Newsham Type fire engine c.1725, itself manually drawn and operated but positioned on a horse drawn 19th C carriage. Sir Vauncy Harper Crewe (master 1886 - 1924) is reported as having imposed a smoking ban in the property and to have thrown his daughter Airmyne out for breaking it. Also underground reservoir reported in hillside.
