Summary
Collection of sixty tassels, unused, in a cardboard box with a label on the lid printed; 'To be kept dry/From Mrs. Shelvey.. Grosvenor Street, Passenger Train..' and inscribed 'The Honble Lady Crewe/Marshall Thomson's Hotel'. The tassels each have 12 sections with round silk covered balls between them, a large round knop at the bottom with ovoid waisted and various shaped pieces above. They are covered in crimson and green silk thread with white, blue and yellow smaller areas. The bases are of wood, threaded together on a blue cord. Also a pair of twisted cord tie-backs en suite, with a loop at each end. Green cord with narrower blue and yellow twists, red, pink and white cord and white woollen cord are twisted together with green binding around the loops
