Summary
One of three pelmets for three pairs of yellow silk damask curtains with a large peony bouquet design in white and yellow. They are padded and lined with white silk. The curtains have gathered side pelmets, hanging down almost one third of the curtain length, the edges braided and sewn with bobbin tassels. The centre of the pelmet is covered with a deep fringe of twisted yellow and white cord, two loops of braid with tassels each side, a large tassel in the centre. The curtains are tied back with loops of yellow and white cord, tied in a French knot and hung with three tassels. (g-l tassels, m-o pelmets, r-w replacement curtains).
