Summary
A George III silver-gilt cup and cover applied with oval medallions above swags and stiff leafage, spreading foot, the lid with winged figure of Victory as a finial, inscribed at the lip, 'Doncaster Cup 1775 W.W. Battie [and] F.F. Foljambe Esq. Stewards'. Entwined snake handles. Smith and Sharp, London, 1774.
Provenance
Transferred to the National Trust by the Treasury in lieu of CTT in 1985 with an endowment provided by the NHMF.
