Summary
A George III silver-gilt cup on shaped square foot, the body applied with leafage below a band of vitruvian scrolls, an oval medal of steeple chasers, husk swags and an inscription at lip, the lid with bird finial. By Boulton and Fothergill. Birmingham 1776. The inscription records the win of Sir Henry Harpur's bay colt 'Cripple' at Lichfield 3rd September 1776.
