Summary
Georgian gold navette shape bracelet clasp, c. 1800. Inner glazed locket compartment containing several plumes of hair in a royal blue and white enamelled border surrounded by half pearls, the back plate bearing four individual monograms and dated '1860'. The centrepiece mounted between royal blue enamelled latticework side sections, deficient of the original plaited hair strap work backs. Gold chain suspension.
Provenance
Transferred to the National Trust by the Treasury in lieu of CTT in 1985 with an endowment provided by the NHMF.
