Summary
A wall barometer by Charles Orme of Ashby de la Zouch, dated 1740. The horizontal arm of the barometer has three glass tubes on an engraved brass plate mounted on oak. The vertical arm has ebony moulding around the edges, a pointed base and a panel of mahogany veneer in the centre. The brass plate is inscribed with the maker's name, date and weather scales. In poor condition.
