Summary
18th century barometer veneered with oyster walnut. Composed of a vertical piece with a projecting branch at an obtuse angle. The brass plate on the branch is inscribed; 'Made by CHARLES ORME, of Ashby-de-la-Zouch REPEARD BY S. BREGAZZI DERBY/Oct 24 1832' and underneath 'Stormy/Much Rain/Rain/Changeable/Fair/Very Fair/Great Drt.'. A colonette is in the centre of the upright with a turned capital and rounded base. The sides are moulded veneer.
