Summary
Ebonised bracket clock, the engraved pewter pediment over the face inscribed; 'Cha. Gretton/London'. The face is also of pewter with pierced gilt spandrel decoration of cherub form. The pendulum can be seen through a pierced slit, the pewter back and brass pendulum both engraved. Arched glass panels in front and sides, the top with a curved cornice supporting a decorative cast handle. Spandrel panels in front and above side panels, pierced gilt metal with large holes, lined with red damask. Early 18th century.
