Summary
8 day striking turret clock by Whitehurst, Derby, 1793. 2 train double frame construction movt. with anchor escapement, wood rod pendulum with lead lenticular bob and regulation on calibrated dia (?) above suspension. Pinned, gathered countwheel striking. Bolt and shutter maintaining power. Anti- friction wheel on back, fly pivot. Signed on brass plate on the front of the frame; 'Whitehurst Derby, 1793'. Setting dial engraved on second wheel. 'Pump pallets' hand setting. 25.11.2021 - Fly fan gone to The Cumbria Clock Company for remedial treatment. Transported in their van.
