Summary
Square rosewood box inlaid with ebony and boxwood, containing four glass decanters (only 3 extant). The deep hinged lid has a lock with giltmetal escutcheon. The interior is lined with red velvet, the base with four compartments. Thick stringing with a square motif at each corner, an ebony spot in centre of each. Three original early nineteeth century/late eighteeth century glass decanters with glass stoppers, decorated with gilding. Two decanters damaged.
