Summary
North African bowl lyre which is covered in animal skin and has wooden arms of unequal lengths. The bowl lyre in located in a display cabinet in the Saloon of Calke Abbey. Inside the display cabinet there is a note written by Sir Vauncey Harpur Crewe which reads 'Collection of Egyptian Curiosities, brought by me from Egypt and Nubia in 1869 and 70 Vauncey Harpur Crewe. May 5th 1870'.
