Summary
Gouache on paper laid down on canvas, Called Francis Greville, 1st Earl of Warwick, KT, FSA (1719-1773), mid 18th century. A half-length portrait of a man, the back of the stretcher inscribed; 'Francis Earl of Warwick'. He is shown dressed in a uniform wearing the star of the garter on a blue jacket with gold frogging. He wears a white wig. Painted on a dark brown ground. The frame has a round opening within a square frame with beading and tongue moulding. A small boss is on each spandrel. (Badly torn and damaged).
