Summary
Print, engraving, Sir Nicholas Mosley (c.1527-1612), Lord Mayor of the City of London 1599. Half-length portrait of a gentleman inscribed below; 'Sir Nich. Mosly-Clothworker. Lord Mayor of the City of London 1599. Engraved from an Unique Print in the Collection of Sir John St. Aubyn Bart.'. Published by W. Richardson 1705. He wears a high-crowned hat, a ruff and has full sleeves. His right hand is across his chest. Deep moulded gilt frame with plain inner sides, a moulded acnathus frond inner edge. The rim painted; 'mos Legem regit'.
