Summary
Print, mezzotint, Audrey Ethelreda Harrison, Viscountess Townshend 1703-1788) (after Jean-Baptiste van Loo) by John Faber the younger (Gravenhage 1684 – London 1756). Oval mezzotint portrait of a lady in 18th century dress, by J. Faber after Van Loo. She is engaged in buttoning her dress and wears a frilled cap fastening under her chin. In a moulded ebonised frame, inscribed on the back; 'Given to J. Lawson April 20 1739/ At St. John's College, Cambridge'. The printed label of 'S.C. Turner, Carver & Gilder' is on the back and the edges are sealed with newspaper. Stained.
