Summary
Engraving, The inside of the Public or Bodleian Library in Oxford from the East and West by William Williams (fl.1724-1733). Two engravings on one sheet by Guil. Williams. The top plate has two views, one above the other, of the Bodlein Library, Oxford each with a long corridor opening in the centre. Latin and English headings are given describing the top view as 'The inside of the Public or Bodleian Library in Oxford from the East' and the bottom view '...from the West.' The lower plate shows the interior of the Divinity School with three scholars in it, inscribed to 'Baron de Romney.' A Latin and English heading give a short history of the building.
