Summary
Etching, A landscape with two figures in the middle ground and trees on either side (after Guercino) by Charles Knapton (1700-1760). Sepia engraving inscribed on edge of plate 'C. Knapton f. 1735/Guercino del/E Museo Dru Arthuri Pond'. A man sits on a mound in the centre wearing a large hat and holding a child in one arm, a staff against the other shoulder. Either side are trees and behind a faintly outlined landscape. Foxed, but good margin.
