The house has a first floor entrance on the eastern side as well as the south, both with steps leadind up. Inscription on the back reads, 'Amelia Wheldon...Given by Miss Wheldon to my mother and by her to me Isabel J. Crewe. Sketch of Calke Abbey by Miss Dewe. Taken before the alterations made by Sir Henry Crewe'. In a gilt wood frame.
