Summary
Print, mezzotint entitled. 'What is this my son Tom?' Published by R. Sayer and J. Bennett, June 1774. It is a cariacature which attacks certain fashionable clothes. On the right is a farmer pointing in disbelief at his son on the left of the picture. The son wears ribbons, bows and a polka dot waistcoat and breeches. His wig stands high above his head with huge side curls and a tiny hat on top. A rhyme underneath. Narrow margin.
