Views of seats. (c) A South-West view of Chatswroth by F. Vivares after a painting by T. Smith. The house, in the background, is seen with its formal gardens. In the middle distance is a bridge and several buildings. In the foregorund are trees and people walking through the parkland. An inscription reads, 'A South-West View of Chatsworth, a most beautiful seat of his Grace the Duke of Devonshire, to whom this plate is humbly inscribed by his Grace's most dutiful servant T. Smith'. Published Oct. 25th 1744. Narrow marfin.
