Summary
18th century white ceramic Chinese saucer for the Islamic market with gilt rim. The well has black characters within a gold circle. Hand written paper label on the underside reads; Mohammad Ali - alias - / Nawab - Nallajah / appointed by the Nirsam and succeed / his father supported by the British and / Made independent A.D. (1765). / 1749 - 1795. / Cup (and) Saucer, RS. A further circular printed paper label reads; T. G. (and). Co. LTD.
