Summary
Print, engraving, View of Abingdon from Nuneham Park (after Joseph Farington) by Joseph Constantine Stadler (b.Germany - fl. London 1780-1812). A dilapidated wooden fence straggles across bottom of picture, next to an ancient tree on right. Rolling hills with cows and their keeper, with river and town stretching into background. Within black line and grey wash borders. Inscribed: 'View of Abingdon from Nuneham Park.' Mounted and glazed in black and gold Hogarth frame. One of a set of 15 aquatints (see NT/COO/D/3a-o).
