Summary

Plywood box with metal strip edgings. Each end has four metal clasp hinges which fit through a slot of the metal strips on the side. Lid is fastened down by two metal clasps which slot through each other. All metal strips and clasps are rusty. On lid is printed in red on left-hand side; CYMAG / (CONTAINS 40% W/W/ SODIUM CYANIDE) / 8 x 7lb / PLANT PROTECTION LIMITED / YALDING KENT ENGLAND / A SUBSIDIARY COMPANY OF / IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES LIMITED. On right-hand side of lid; POISON / HANDLE / WITH CARE. On right-hand end in black is a diamond with skull and crossbones and writing reading; KEEP AWAY FROM / FOOD AND FREEZING / STUFFS. A cream paper stapled in each corner and written in blue reads; Boots / 454 / BRISTOL 13 /OGM. Disp. On back is written all in red the same wording as on lid. In addition on back is one paper label stapled with four staples on which is printed; CYANIDE / Keep Separate from Foodstuffs and Foodstuff Empties. Another diamond-shaped paper label stapled with four staples on which is printed skull and crossbones and; POISON. On left-hand end is same black diamond-shaped logo with skull and crossbones and; KEEP AWAY FROM / FOOD AND FEEDING / STUFFS. Also on left hand chalked in black; T 70. Inside are eight movable cardboard sections. This box is one of nine - the rest to be disposed of.
