Summary

A walnut prayer cabinet, probably Italian, first half of 17th century. The upper section with three drawers and a cupboard door, all carved with floral motifs, the lower section with hinged 'kneeler' raised on block feet.

Provenance

Bequest of Lytes Cary Manor and other freehold lands, tenements, property and chattels from Sir Walter Kentish William Jenner, in his will dated 14th May 1948.
