Summary
Printed illustration for Jemima Puddle-Duck's Painting Book (published August 1925), coloured in watercolour by Beatrix Potter. The book should have been published in 1924, but in a letter dated 30 December 1924 Beatrix states, 'No new book; should have been a painting book, re-drawn from Jemima, but the engravers were slow.' Jemima talks to a fox dressed in green and reading a newspaper. There are foxgloves in the background. There is an inscription at the top of the page by Beatrix Potter, 'Seems rather high'.
