Summary
Watercolour drawing (landscape) of a path running along the east side of Cat Bells, looking towards Skiddaw in the distance, with Derwent Water just visible. Possibly a background sketch for The Tale of Mrs Tiggy-Winkle (the foreground is similar to that of the published illustration HIL.RP.533, though this view is the opposite side of Cat Bells from Little Town). Inscribed in pencil, bottom right, by Beatrix Potter - Skiddaw / Cat Bells / East side. Dated c1907.
