Summary
Envelope, accompanying a letter from Beatrix Potter to Joseph Moscrop, shepherd to Beatrix Potter at Troutbeck Park Farm from 1926. The envelope is dated Feb 26. 27 and is addressed to Mr. Joseph Moscrop, Saughtrees, Bailey, Newcastleton, Roxburgh, N.B. The address has been written and stuck over Beatrix's address. There are two red postage stamps. The flap is missing from the envelope. Part of a collection of letters, Beatrix Potter's Lake District Letters to Joseph Moscrop, edited and transcribed by Judy Taylor and published (1988) as 'Beatrix Potter's Farming Friendship, Lake District Letters to Joseph Moscrop 1926-1943'.
