Summary
Drawing in black ink for the privately printed edition of The Tale of Peter Rabbit. Three rabbit faces peer out from under a tree root and one rabbit's tail end disappears under the tree, while Mrs Rabbit sits in the foreground. Corrections have been made using white paint, to Mrs Rabbit's head and to the background trees to the right of the picture. See also HIL.R.1, the manuscript into which this illustration was originally attached.
